A company recently became a Carbon Group client primarily for a better price structure and service.
It was identified by the customer that they often ran out of stock, although the customer ordered small quantities very often. Carbon Group accordingly sent in a team to analyse how this could be improved.
An audit was undertaken of client facilities and throughput and then matched to the annual usages of the customer. This highlighted the fact that some tanks that were big had low volumes and other tanks that were small had high volumes. Carbon Group accordingly made some suggested pipework changes together with recommendations for some small civil engineering changes. Client space was also created for the use of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC).
The result? Deliveries now take place just once a month. On site logistics are much improved and hassle free. The Carbon Group client never runs out and is very satisfied with the streamlining of supply.
