A HIGH QUALITY START TO 2018:
CARBON GROUP ANNOUNCES ISO 9001:2015 SUCCESS
Carbon Group is proud to announce its success in achieving the new upgraded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Certification.
The announcement is the result of Carbon Group’s ongoing commitment to the delivery of outstanding products and services using exceptional quality management systems. The achievement also reflects Carbon Group’s consistent emphasis on providing first-rate customer service and customer satisfaction.
In 1998, Carbon Group was first certified to ISO 9001:1994 and has maintained certification to the various upgrades right up to the present day.
ISO 9001 is the International Organization for Standardization’s flagship quality management system. It is considered the most sought-after standardised quality system of its kind. Brian Walsh, Managing Director at Carbon Group, explains why the adoption of the ISO quality management system is a key strategic decision:
“For any business, the adoption of a quality management system is a strategic move which helps to streamline activities and improve overall performance. As our business centres on the supply of chemicals, food ingredients and specialist paints, it’s particularly important for Carbon Group to provide customers with the confidence that comes with attaining the ISO 9001:2015 QMS standard. Internally, the certification also holds significance for the business – ISO standardisation provides a strong framework for on-going development initiatives within our company, enabling us to ensure that Carbon Group continues to offer the very highest standards in all aspects of our business processes”.
Noel Barrett, HSEQ Manager at Carbon Group, has also welcomed confirmation that the new upgraded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Certification has been awarded to Carbon Group.
“ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Certification demonstrates that Carbon Group has a management system in place to enable it to consistently provide products and services that measure up to customer, statutory and regulatory requirements”, Noel Barrett explains.
“News of our success in achieving the ISO 9001:2015 standard follows months of meticulous examination of our processes and procedures. We’ve not only proven our ability to conform to specified quality management system requirements, but we’ve also been examined in terms of risk management and leadership”.
The prestigious ISO international standards body employs a ‘process approach’ when completing its examination of systems management procedures.
This approach incorporates risk-based thinking and the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. These methodologies enable a business or organisation to carefully manage its processes and their interactions on internal and external stakeholders and customers. In particular, it assists an organisation in ensuring that its processes are adequately managed and resourced.
