Once again this year, Carbon Group was represented at The Nantwich Show and International Cheese Awards, 2018.
Taking place in a parkland setting on the edge of the historic market town of Nantwich in Cheshire, England, the July 2018 show drew thousands of attendees from across the UK, Ireland and throughout Europe.
The event is the largest one-day agricultural show in the UK and has been running for over 120 years.
Incorporating the International Cheese Awards, The Nantwich Show has become an important event in the calendars of cheese producers throughout Europe.
This year an impressive 5,000 cheese samples were submitted to the awards event with 250 judges taking on the prodigious task of choosing the winners.
Regular event attendee Carbon Group’s Eddie O’Dwyer was on hand to meet and greet industry professionals who were interested in hearing about Carbon Group’s range of DSM products for the cheese-making industry.
This year, Eddie O’Dwyer was joined by Carbon Group’s John Lynch who was attending The Nantwich Show and International Cheese Awards for the first time.
According to John, cheese manufacturers at the event were particularly keen to speak to the Carbon Group team about the innovative range of DSM products.
“Carbon Group’s DSM cheese cultures, coagulants and ripening solutions were very much a talking point among producers of all sizes”, says John.
“For example, our portfolio of Delvo Cheese cultures are blends of acidifying cultures, specifically developed for every cheese type; these optimise cheese production and also improve cheese flavour and quality“.
“There was also significant interest in our complete range of coagulants which are benzoate-free, vegetarian, Kosher and Halal“.
